What to expect from the Las Vegas weather in October
If you want some reliable hot weather, October is the last time in the year that you can really get it in Las Vegas.
It is far from super hot in October, though. In fact, it’s dropped to just about pleasant, by Vegas standards at least. For visitors in the UK, it is similar to a nice summer’s day back home.
You will get the odd colder block of days in October too. It’s just bad luck if they coincide with your vacation, I guess.
There are less daylight hours in October too, and evening temperatures are just starting to drop into jacket territory. Not all of them, but it’s something to bear in mind.

There is a decent chance of getting some rain if you are vacationing in Vegas in October. The same can be said for every month, though.
You are not going to get entire days washed-out by rain, though. In Nevada, showers, and even storms, come and go pretty quickly.
On average October gets three days that sees rainfall and the odd thunderstorm, but nothing to ruin a vacation.

Humidity
Las Vegas is in the desert, so humidity is never really going to be a problem. For me personally, that is a big part of what makes the weather so good there.
It’s a very dry heat generally, and it’s very rare that the humidity climbs above 66% across the course of the whole year.
October is definitely one of the more humid months, but that isn’t really saying much. The air is generally dry, as it is all year round.
What to pack for Las Vegas in October
October can be a slightly tricky month to pack for. You can rely on good weather. It might not be shorts-good all the time, though.
That means I would recommend taking a little of everything. You will likely need some light layers for the evenings, but it’s not certain. It just depends how lucky you get really.
The pools are still open in Vegas in October too, although only just. it is definitely coming to the end of pool season. It’s worth taking your swimwear, though.
One of the issues that does often come up in the dry heat is dry skin or lips. That’s why it’s often recommended to pack a lip balm/chapstick. Don’t worry if you don’t though, almost every gift shop or convenience store have them to purchase.
