What to expect from the Las Vegas weather in April
For many, April is one of the very best times of the year to visit Las Vegas. Temperatures are starting to rise for the summer but the extreme desert heat is yet to arrive.
In fact, for people visiting from the UK the temperatures are very similar to that of a pristine summer’s day back home. You’re looking at around 23.5C/74F during the days, which for many are ideal.
There can be a little wind around, though, but that is not unusual considering Vegas is in a valley. And, I say ‘wind,’ but it’s really more of a gentle breeze.
However, one thing to be aware of is that temperatures do drop quite a bit in the evening. Taking a jacket is advisable for most.

How likely is it to rain in Las Vegas in April?
Simply put, not likely at all. The chances of rain are obviously a little higher at the start of the month. If you are planning your vacation for April, it’s maybe best to book for the second half of it.
April tends to produce three rainy days in Las Vegas, which isn’t many. They don’t last a day either, as rain tends to pass quickly.
It can, however, be all kinds of rain – including thunderstorms. However, as said, it always tends to pass quickly.

Humidity
Las Vegas is in the desert, so humidity is never really going to be a problem. For me personally, that is a big part of what makes the weather so good there.
It’s a very dry heat generally, and it’s very rare that the humidity climbs above 66% across the course of the whole year.
April is quite a transitional month for weather in Nevada. That means it’s more humid at the start of the month but dry by the end of it. It never gets uncomfortably humid, though.
What to pack for Las Vegas in April
It largely depends upon what part of the month you are going. The general rule, though, is summer wear for the day times and a jacket for the evening.
April does fall within pool season too, so feel free to pack your bikinis and swim shorts.
One of the issues that does often come up in the dry heat is dry skin or lips. That’s why it’s often recommended to pack a lip balm/chapstick. Don’t worry if you don’t though, almost every gift shop or convenience store have them to purchase.
