Las Vegas casinos can be a little daunting for first-timers and while some resorts offer a full assault on all of the senses, some offer a more chilled experience. So, what can you expect from The Mirage casino?
The Mirage casino offers probably one of the most user-friendly gambling experiences on the Las Vegas Strip.
It’s big enough to offer a good selection of games but small enough to not be overwhelming, and with its casual but lively atmosphere it makes everyone feel welcome.

Out of all of the casino floors in Las Vegas, The Mirage casino feels like it blends more into the fabric of the building than any other.
Rather than operating as a separate gambling area, the casino almost fits around the numerous restaurants, bars, Sports book, and Cirque du Soleil theatre entrance making it a really immersive experience.
The famous Mirage atrium with its impressive dome ceiling is right beside the casino and guests at the hotel literally have to walk through the centre of the casino to reach their room.
This all adds up to make The Mirage casino a really fun, inclusive, lively place to be.
During the day the casino plays a great mix of retro rock and pop music to enjoy while you gamble. On an evening, the Center Bar can get busy and the high energy and music spills onto the casino floor.
Don’t worry if this isn’t your scene though, as there is plenty of space elsewhere in the casino to enjoy in a more quiet setting.
Gambling at Mirage casino
The selection of slot machines at The Mirage is good. You may not find multiple machines for some of the games, but there is enough variety and choice to keep you entertained for hours.
There is a nice balance between the number of slot machines and table games, and you can enjoy all the usual baccarat, roulette, blackjack and craps tables to have fun.
As well as a high-limit slot room there used to be a small non-smoking slot room too. Be aware, though, that has now been removed and the slot selection was incredibly limited anyway.
Drinks service and sportsbook
As with all Las Vegas hotel casinos, a complimentary waitress service is available to anyone who is gambling. From my experience, I have always enjoyed a great service at The Mirage. However, there are plenty of other bars very close by if you just can’t wait.
The Mirage has one of the largest and most impressive sports books to the front of the property. It is just off the casino and has comfortable armchairs and a sports bar close by, what’s not to love?
Rewards club
Since the sale to Hard Rock, the Mirage is part of the Unity rewards programme.
That does mean it is immediately less accessible to MGM Rewards members who used to be able to get a lot of comps there. However, take your MGM Rewards card to the Unity desk at the Mirage and a status match will likely be in the offering.
