The Fremont casino is one of the iconic ‘four corners’ properties on the intersection of Fremont Street and Casino Center Boulevard. Four Queens, Golden Nugget and Binion’s are the others. That is one of the most photographed spots in all of Las Vegas and with good reason.
The old-style neon beneath the Fremont Street Experience video canopy make for a spectacular sight, so Fremont Casino certainly has a significant presence in Downtown Las Vegas.

Despite its name, Fremont is perhaps not one of the casinos that immediately come to mind when you think about Downtown Las Vegas. That is likely down to the fact people hear ‘Fremont’ and they think of the street, not the property.
As with all of the properties on the Fremont Street Experience, the Fremont casino can just blend into the rest, especially for first-time visitors.
It certainly gets busy, though, and for the most part it is not lacking behind other establishments in this part of Las Vegas.
Gambling at Fremont casino
Slots players are generally the best catered for on the Las Vegas gambling scene. The vast majority of the gaming floor tends to be dedicated to slots, and Fremont casino is no different.
There are more than 1000 machines for visitors to try their luck on, comprising of new modern electronic slots, vintage mechanical ones, and Video Poker and Keno.
I wouldn’t necessarily describe the Fremont casino floor as ‘cramped,’ although they do their best to make the most of every inch. It can get very busy in there too due to the sheer footfall that the Fremont Street Experience attracts, especially on evenings and weekends.
That can sometimes make you feel like you are lacking in a little elbow room, but not oppressively so by any means. If you are sat next to a smoker though and you don’t smoke yourself, it can be a little unpleasant.
There are 22 gaming tables too, so they really do fit an awful lot into their space and these can get loud, but if you don’t want loud then you have probably ended up in Las Vegas by accident.
Fremont casino, unlike most in the city, do not offer Baccarat, but there is still a good selection with Roulette, Craps, and many of the Blackjack and Poker variations. There is no specific Poker room, though. However, they are becoming more and more uncommon within the Las Vegas Gambling scene in general.
Sportsbook and drinks service
The complimentary drinks service is good too. In general, it is easier to get a free drink while you gamble Downtown than it is on the Strip. Fremont is not an exception to that rule by any means.
There is also a sportsbook at Fremont casino and a fairly decent one. With the exception of Circa, it’s fair to say the Downtown properties are not known for their sportsbooks.
It is located just beside the buffet and has a good number of screens to watch the action. There are also 24-hour booths to place your bets and collect your winnings.
Rewards club
One additional advantage the Fremont casino has is that it is part of the Boyd Sports rewards programme. That means that, unlike the independent properties, you can earn rewards at multiple casinos Downtown.
